Mark Crarer

Hi, I’m Mark Crarer and I’m keen to represent you in your upcoming real estate sale or purchase.
I was drawn to Raglan primarily to be near the coast and the people. I love the water, either in it, on it, or just looking at it.  I successfully sold lifestyle blocks in and around Hamilton for 12 years before moving to Raglan. My love of nature and more recently Golf draws me outside whenever possible, often with my grown “kids” or a “gaggle” of my grandkids.
I have a simple, three-point pledge:
1) Exceed your expectations: You’ll have my full commitment in covering all the necessary detail to make your sale/purchase process run as smoothly as possible and I will do all I do with enthusiasm. 2) I will get it done: This doesn’t merely relate to the sale or purchase: It’s a promise to ‘do the things I say I’ll do’: No matter how small the detail, I won’t let you down. If I say I’ll email, I’ll email; if you ask me to call back, I’ll call back; if you want more detail, I’ll find it. I’ll do as much as it takes plus a bit more just to be certain. Where possible I’ll provide options, information, knowledge and professional expertise.
 3) I will be honest. I won’t take your business for granted: I want to prove myself, and I’m determined to do just that – because I also want you to be my advocate to others. I will do my best to ensure you had a great experience working with me!
Let’s start a conversation. Give me a call today.

21 Point Street, Raglan
Designed by well-known Waikato architectural firm, Architecture Bureau, this remarkable property reflects the original vision of its owners. The vision was twofold: firstly, to create a serene and inviting two-bedroom holiday retreat for themselves, with an additional two-bedroom guest area versatile enough to accommodate both extended family and short-term guests. Secondly, they aimed to craft a home that would seamlessly embrace the breathtaking views of Raglan Harbour, the Rangitahi peninsula, and the majestic Sleeping Lady, Whaingaroa, Raglan's very own Mt. Karioi. As you step in to 21 Point Street, you'll immediately sense how the home's design ingeniously captures the beauty of its surroundings. Expansive windows frame sweeping vistas where it can be difficult to figure out if the line between inside and outside actually exists. Purposefully understated from the street, the top level represents the heart of the home with open plan kitchen, dining and lounge, 2 bedrooms with captivating views, both with ensuites and ready access to a choice of outdoor entertaining areas. The lower level, again consisting of 2 bedrooms with ensuites also has a purpose-built kitchenette and shared internal and external spaces to relax. All in all, the home is intentionally relaxed, striking a perfect balance between understated elegance and functional design, providing both comfort and convenience in equal measures. There are options here from continuing short stay guests to a lock up and leave or a combination of both. The owners of this delightful home are highly motivated to move on with their life journey so if the photos pique your interest, please call to arrange a viewing time today.

397 Ruapuke Road, Raglan
It is rare to find a compact farmlet with as much on offer as 397 Ruapuke Road. For starters, the modern 2-bedroom home lies well for the morning sun and is tucked away from the prevailing westerly wind. The home is warm with double-glazed joinery throughout, a wood burner is on-hand to heat the spacious open plan Lounge, Dining and Kitchen quickly and the rest of the home with ease. The home is in tip top condition with plenty of internal storage, a separate laundry and 2 toilets. All of this comes complete with a garage/ shed/ workshop that could easily house the boat and other 'stuff' that often comes along for the ride. The land is 2.09 hectares (5 acres) in size and separated into 7 paddocks, all well fenced and watered. A stony stream feeding from Mt Karioi meanders through a small stand of native trees down through your very own valley, the kind of valley where the kids are easily distracted away from modern screens with discoveries aplenty to be had for growing imaginations. Someone once tinkered around with a water wheel and recently a bath complete with timber fired water heater has been solidly constructed adjacent the stream: what a place to soak your bones under the stars and moon! There is a solid old concrete block shed that, has until recently, been used as a tack room for a pony. Ruapuke Beach is around a few corners to the west whilst the ever-popular Te Mata school is just 4km away.

112B Newton Road, Raglan
The Newton Homestead was originally positioned in the very best location to capture the very best views of the Waireinga, Bridal Veil Falls and her surrounding reserve and to this day she arguably still retains this honour. Of lesser and more common views this area offers, the Homestead provides generous vistas out towards, Aotea, Kawhia and onwards to Albatross Point as well as the ever changing and somewhat moody Mt Karioi. The homestead was built in an era of practicality when timber was cheap and 'big bones' were the norm. Consisting of separate Kitchen/ Dining, a ginormous Lounge, 4 generous bedrooms, master with ensuite, a separate Laundry and ample shedding, the home is generously proportioned which, as a result, offers plenty of space for all manner of family requirements. While the old girl may require some tender loving care to restore her to her former glory, those with vision and a willingness to see her looking her best will appreciate that the potential here is immense. Land size 8000m2 (newly issued title).
