Karen knows Canterbury inside out.  Having been raised on a farm near Hinds, she is rurally inclined, but she’s also lived the city life of Christchurch and has been settled back in Ashburton for the last 20 years.  This allows her to relate to home buyers and sellers from all backgrounds.  Karen especially revels in walking first home buyers carefully through the real estate process. 

Karen is a mother of two sons – Cameron, who has followed his mother’s footsteps and is a Real Estate Agent in Leeston/Rolleston with Property Brokers and Ryan (Guppy) who is a Builder in the Selwyn area.  Karen utilizes her flexible schedule to be an active volunteer of the Cancer Society by driving cancer patients to Christchurch for treatment and assisting with fundraising activities.  A highlight is her co-ordination of well-known Cancer Society fundraiser – Relay for Life.

In her spare time, Karen enjoys walking, water skiing, golf and catching up with friends.  She also enjoys golf and is a member of the Ashburton Golf Club’s Promotions Committee.  

A recent addition to the McRae/Niles family is a dear wee Schnoodle puppy called Indie - she is very much loved and spoilt.
